Trailing Eva

Caught up with this moving billboard on an S93 bus on the Gowanus Expressway.
Eva la Trailera is a telenovela on Telemundo, featuring Edith González as Eva. The entry on Wikipedia is quick to point out that it is not an adaptation of Lola and the Truck Driver from 1983. Got it?

Fishing in Greenpoint

Construction for the new Kosciuszko Bridge obscures the changing of the guard, fishwise. Marshall's Smoked Fish Outlet is gone. (A photo from 2010 on Fading Ad Blog captures its decaying mural when there was still something there to see.)

But there's still plenty of fish in the Greenpoint sea. Established in 2010, New York Fish on Anthony St. are purveyors of fresh and frozen seafood. Many other things besides, including Mr. Green Tea ice cream. You can check out their site (it will help to read Chinese).

Tower Street

Water towers on the brain. Here's one from Rte. 287 North in Edison, New Jersey, just after dawn this morning.
And one in Westerly, Rhode Island, from a couple days ago. Oh yes, it's on Tower Street. Named for the older stone tower I didn't capture. Next time.
